“The Dragon and the Eagle: American Traders in China, A Century of Trade from 1784 to 1900” is a new exhibition held at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum.
The dragon and the eagle have long been known as the symbols of China and America respectively.
The exhibition mainly outlines the history of Sino-American trade.

It is themed around the relationship between “the oldest empire” of China and the “newest republic of America”.
It features the sailing materials and artifacts that were used between the Chinese and the Americans during trading and shipping.

The exhibition takes you straight to the pages of 18th-century history.
